Texas sales tax

I've searched and couldn't find anything on sales tax. Does anyone know how much in total is it in Texas?

Yes, I believe 6.25%... And then your other pathetic dealer added fees, haha.

Thread should be moved to Southwest regional section... Thank you, Moderators.

Remember that if you trade a vehicle in, the taxes -- in Texas, at least -- are offset. You're applying the taxes you've paid on the previous vehicle to the new vehicle. Just food for thought!

Yes, indeed... I loved how I gained my tax credit when I traded in my previous car... Always a frightening thought when you see an addtional $2k on top of the MSRP.

Bought mine in beaumont, tx but I live in La so I still had to pay La taxes....$2,800
Financing is going to cost $1,700 if I were to actually pay the full term....will pay it of in ~2yrs though (put 11k down). Final bill was ~$34,700 in total with everything

I do have the limited with some options though.

Wow, that's a pretty intimidating deal... But as long as you have it all planned out, I'm sure you should be in good shape.

brz is more than the frs plus buy the higher model stuck it to me some more but I had taken pretty much everything into account except for the price of the damn "diffuser" and some little bs fees.

Yes, you have that right... The $24,985 MSRP of the FR-S fit my budget comfortably, and so that's where I ended up... The BRZ attracted me initially of course, but the price and limited availability from local dealerships pushed me away... I also had a trade-in... So dealing locally was easier than dealing long-distance.
