JEGS air oil separator?
Have been thinking about purchasing an oil catch can.
My questions is would something like this Jegs oil air separator be more affective than say a baffled can or an oil catch can with steel wool: http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/52205...All%20Products Looking for the most cost affective option that actually works. would be routed from the pcv to vacuum source. primarily considering the mishimoto baffled can or doing an ebay can and filling it with steel wool scrubber. Do you need a catch can? As in, you've inspected the PCV valve or crankcase breather port and noticed oil in the lines?

not yet but I want it because my IS300s intake manifold was coated in oil and was not fun to clean. I saw that people with catch cans installed on these cars tend to collect some amount of oil. So whatever route I go I will likely buy 2... one for the IS300. |

Some people never have an issue, so a catch can would be an unnecessary expense. If you go FI or track your car, just check the lines occasionally to make sure you don't have oil in them. If you do, then yes, a catch can would be beneficial.
I would go with a catch can that is designed for our cars, so all the mounting brackets and hoses are already correct. I would look at either Radium or Velox, because they both have a reputation for being very high quality products. http://counterspacegarage.com/produc...part_brand=154 http://www.ft86speedfactory.com/velo...tor-ft-86.html |

Used one of those Jegs AOS in my last car and it melted. Even in the coolest place I could get it in the engine bay.. considering how hot the fa20 gets I'd recommend something made of metal.

Those work well when you add extra baffle like you mentioned.
