Wheel bearings sealed? Grease?
Are our wheel bearings sealed? If not, what type of grease do they use? Repack with another type?

2. Whatever cheap junk they can find. And usually lightly packed. 3. I would, especially if using for Auto-X/Track. Even though front hubs don't seem to be an issue on these cars, on NA/NB Miatas it was a huge problem. To the point that there 4+ vendors offering upgraded hubs. Some were just stock hubs that had been repacked with high quality grease (withstand high temps better). Some were rebuilt with higher quality grease and ARP studs. The most high end ones went so far as to change out the ball bearings for one closer in tolerance (more even loading on all the bearings), plus high quality grease and ARP studs. I wish there were some options like this for us, I hate doing jobs like that. |

Typically front bearings are quite durable and aftermarket are the junk ones. I had an original front bearings last 200k miles in a car.
