Removed sound tube, popping noise when free revving
So I just removed my sound tube and plugged the hole on the intake hose. Started up the car and gave it a few revs and now I hear a popping noise. Never noticed it before the sound tube removal.
Basically, I free rev and when the rev starts to drop it pops from the engine bay. Anyone else that removed their sound tube got same sound? Hoping its nothing and not a DI seal issue. Maybe leaking headers/exhaust? Stock engine, stock intake, no CELs, or rough idle. I'll record a video when I get the chance. Thanks! |

I'd be temped to put the sound tube back on and see if you still hear the popping.
