Strange Sound From Noise Tube

Over the past week I've noticed a strange resonating sound coming from the area of the noise intake tube when I'm revving the car to higher RPMs. It sounds like metal vibrating at a really high pitch. I have never noticed anything like this before. The only thing I can think that has changed is I really pushed my car for the first time over the weekend, putting it at speeds over 100 mph. Could my noise tube have been shaken lose? Is it possibly vibrating against anything near it? Has anyone experience anything similar?

The only experience I had with mine was I hardly noticed it until my rpm's got north of 3,500 then it really became intrusive. I removed the growl tube about two weeks ago and greatly appreciate the quiet (comparatively speaking).

Why was this added anyways? I would have rather saved the 1-2 pounds and had them open the exhaust a little. Seems like marketing got a win on this one.

Just thought of something. When I was looking at the car the other day, I noticed the resonator part of it is just kind of hanging by the tubes and it hits against a bracket. Without even looking at it again, I bet it is just hitting this bracket and doing its job transmitting that sound down the tube.

Try pulling it away or placing something between the resonator part and the bracket.
