Those brass tees are notorious for cracking at the threads and is exactly what I was talking about.

Hi guys, I'm planning to install an oil pressure/temp gauge and I was wondering where I could get a more accurate reading. Which is better to put into the galley plug, the oil pressure or temperature sensor? Or is it okay if I just run both on a sandwich plate?

@Sportsguy83 did you ever get this finished? Thinking about getting the FastWRX gallery plug / sender relocation kit that was posted earlier for myself.

I'd like to do this DIY as well. I'm deciding to install the sensor in the unused gallery plug. Anyone know where I can wire a defi gauge?

I was reading on NASIOC, and some WRX guys are were replacing the idiot light switch with their pressure senders, basically unplugging them, and they didn't have any CEL or issues? Has anybody tried that on our cars?
my plan at the moment is to use that relocator kit posted above, remove the idiot light switch, plug the SS line to where the idiot light switch was, run the SS line to a Tee, then plug in both switch and pressure sender into the T. any real problems with that setup?

I believe left is oil pressure and right is oil temperature.

Reviving this thread, so as to not start another one. I am about to install oil pressure and temperature gauges. I am planning to use the galley plug for temp, and the stock pressure sender location for oil pressure. My question is, can I just toss the stock sender and ground the stock sending wire? I don't want the oil pressure dummy light to be on all the time on my dash.
On the WRX the stock oil pressure dash light switch is a normally closed grounding switch that opens and breaks the ground when it senses 2.5 psi of oil pressure. Does anyone know if the FA uses the same type of switch? This document is what gave me the idea |

where are people mounting their gauges? I see the a/c vent gauges, but honestly with as hot as it gets here in summertime I do NOT want to block any airflow to me...I feel like the a/c can't keep up as is...
