STI Oil Filter?

I am looking to pick up some STI parts for under the hood and wanted to know if there is any reason I shouldn't use the STI performance filter linked below? I know this is for higher temperature applications and increased flow but I don't have any mods so this is just more of an aesthetic to match the other parts I am getting. Thanks in advance!

it lists the BRZ as one of the intended applications as well as the other cars with the FA20 motor. you're safe to use it, however, do you really want to pay $26 per oil filter + maybe $40 shipping and wait 2 months to get it? lol

I don't have one of these but things I typically order from Japanparts cost me around or less than MSRP with shipping included and I've gotten things that aren't backordered as quick as 5 business days, 10-11 days at worse.

that's not that bad then. when I ordered a set of braces for my old MR2 off that site, shipping was $80 for the slowest one and it took a little over a month for me to get it. I wasn't in a hurry though so it didn't bother me.

I am ordering several other items so bulk shipping isn't bad. I know this is significantly more expensive but I am a little picky and have a crazy attention to detail. It's not my strongest attribute. I thought this would go nicely with my other parts. Thanks guys!

If you wanna go all out STI, you may want to think elsewhere first. Battery tie down, oil cap, strut bar, radiator cap, ect. BUT it's up to you since it's a "wear" item. I can't criticize too much as I have a TRD oil filter haha.

That's the plan, eventually. Battery tie down, oil cap, radiator cap are being shipped along with the filter. Saving the strut bar and other goodies for tax season.
