OpenFlash Header (OFH) Cracked--Worth Fixing?

I think that welding it, and it not leaking afterward, would be iffy.
That whole area of the header looks "flaky". How old is it .. ?? I think they should take it back, as being defective. humfrz |

Had the same thing happen to mine. Brought it to a local welder and 50 bucks later worked like a champ. Been running it for about 2k miles with no problems. Totally worth it.

The header nuts to the block are M10 x 1.25, and if I remember correctly, so are the header-overpipe joint studs. Check the individual drawers with the little bags of 1 or 2 at the hardware store, or the miniature rack in the nearest Autozone. Anything labeled grade 8 with the correct thread pitch will work, in a pinch. That's what I use in a pinch if I don't have time to order proper hardware.
