Since I haven't done much to my car in the last year, I'm dreaming of what I may do when I get my tax returns in January. What should I spend the money on?

tax return must be nice, i'm hoping i don't owe a small k car.

Voted for put into savings.

I'm planning for a decent return so half will go toward savings, other half toward principle left on car loan.

Or maybe most toward car loan since really hating car payments right now.

You get your tax return in January? I've never gotten mine sooner than late February because most institutions take until the end of January to get me all my statements.

I personally try not to give the government interest free loans all year.

I didn't see the dildo up your ass on the polls. Joking aside, I'd say finish your BRZ in to a track monster. The next new shiny thing fades, and the never ending process starts.

I'm still paying off my car (about $18k left) so that's a good idea as well to put all the money into slowly paying it off.

you owe 18k still?! I owe just shy of 6k Left on mine.

I got a 72 month loan at 3.66% back in Aug of 2012. I skipped a few payments when the credit union gave those deals. My payment is less then $400, but then again I'm paying more interest over the life of the loan because of it. I'm considering switching to a 3yr at 1.69% which may save me $1k in interest over those 3 years.

I'm doing a 60 month loan at 1.79% in sept of 2012 and my payments are 363. What did you end up paying OTD?

I bought it barely used from a guy in Battle Ground with only a couple hundred miles on it because he was having health issues. Got it for MSRP $28,275 (loan for full amount). It was the only red manual Limited BRZ in the US, with none coming in for 4 months at least. I sold my previous car (VW R32) about a month prior because I thought I'd get one sooner as I reserved one at a dealer. The dealer didn't really know for sure when they were getting it though. They eventually got it about 6 months later. Good thing I found the used one randomly on ebay. It wasn't an auction ad, just a for sale ad, so it was just like dealing with a normal Craigslist for sale ad.

Next time you're down here or maybe when I'm up in Seattle from the 30th to Jan 1 or 2 perhaps you'd be willing for me to look at your car, more specifically the steering wheel that comes in the yellow FR-S. I've been thinking about buying that momo TRD wheel for some time now but would like to check it out in person before I spend $400 on one.

Also if there's any car group events going on in the Seattle area Dec 30-Jan1 or 2 let me know and I'll attend.

Spend the refund on a personal finance course. Also take an additional allowance or two on your w4.

I spent a long time driving mediocre cars so that now I can afford what I want.
