Shift Knob Adapter for Reverse Lever

I have a shift knob Id like to install in my car (HKS). Coming from Honda's Im new to the lever lock/release to go into reverse. The knob I bought is the correct thread pattern, but the knob itself is not recessed to accommodate the lever. Do I have options such as a different style lever or something to cover the plastic up on the shifter under the lever? Ill update with pictures tomorrow to clarify.

Thanks.

I have the Blox reverse lockout cover, it covers the plastic perfectly and works as a stop nut for the shifter.
