AT Reverse Shift Adapter
I thought this was a pretty cool idea. They started selling a plug and play harness that reverses the function for the + and - on the automatic shifter. So pulling it towards you upshifts and pushing it forwards downshifts. I guess its suppose to make it feel more like Initial D arcade game or Battle Gear or something. I am sure this can be accomplished by just cutting and swapping the two wires, but this makes it cleaner.
http://buyee.jp/item/yahoo/auction/r130410738 Anyone know what the part numbers are for the two plugs? Maybe we can get a DIY going to make your own. |

Don't pay to do that! There's a DIY here on the Forums that takes all of about 30 minutes.
The hardest part is removing the all the trim. You basically pull two sets of pins and switch them and DONE. I did it to mine; it was TOO easy. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=21741

While I was in there and had it all apart, I took the selector cover inside, dissembled it and painted over the the "-" and the "+" symbols from the back side so they aren't visible. Not necessary, but seeing the pattern and knowing it's reversed just made my OCD all twitchy! Testors model paint, FTW! Now mine just shows P-R-N-D-M, no plus or minus.
