Ikeya Formula?
Hello all.
I'm sure that some of you are familiar with Ikeya Formula and their Sequential Shifter. For those of you that don't know, they have a shifter that gives a regular H pattern gearbox the ability to shift sequentially. Now, they make the shifter for several cars, but not ours. However, they do produce it for cars that run the same Aisin AZ6 gearbox. I realize that there are differences between them with the linkages and so on, but I am looking for one that is similar enough to be able to use the shifter. Here is the link to the different cars that they manufacturer it for. http://www.nengun.com/ikeya-formula/sequential-shifter Based on my research and limited knowledge of the other cars, it seems like the GDB six speed has the most similar linkage. Now, before everyone starts with the, "Why are you doing this," and "Why not just get this or that or whatever," its because I want to. LOL. And I can't afford the $20,000 for the Hollinger. Thank you in advance for your contributions. |

this is actually pretty cool. I didn't realize you could do something like this. though, the website did mention something about a drum rotating when the lever is pulled so does that mean there will be a little bit of a delay in shifting? I would say this is pretty reasonably priced considering what it does

Really cool idea, too bad it doesn't solve strength issues haha.

What a coincidence, djust searched the web yesterday for a company that's made a sequential shifter for the twins, do I know that I ikeya don't make one for our cars
![]() But maybe if de demand for one existed, than djust maybe some one could take on the task to make one. In my search yesterday I found one Australia company, that's make one for the t56 gearboxes (Chevy ls engiens) But nothing for the twins unfortunately. But this video has made me drool over the years. Nissan S15 whit ikeya shifter looks dam fast to me, and would love it on my track GT86 [ame]http://youtu.be/1bPe-7EbxMI[/ame] |

From linked in website, even for models they make, they have minimum order of 50pc and potentially long lead time (even up to half a year). Hence i guess some group buy would be needed, or something like ft86speedfactory to step in with some big enough order to design for ours
.

Lol. Yes the shifter is great. But does anyone know if there are enough similarities between our Aisin gearbox and another Aisin in order to make it work for our car?

Those are awesome looking shifters but I've never seen someone running one in the US.
