Exhaust recommendation.

I'm looking for an exhaust system that is more interesting than stock but not not as loud as the Perrin system that I currently have. Particularly at higher RPM, the Perrin system is a bit much for my tastes. Thanks for any input.

What do you currently have? Are we talking just a catback system? Perrin has 4 versions of their catback out there. 2.5 inch resonated, 2.5 inch non resonated, 3 inch resonated and 3 inch non resonated. The 2.5inch resonated is the quietest. If you want something quieter then I hear/read nice things about the invidia Q300 catback.

I have the full 2.5 inch resonated system with cat and the crossover pipe . Maybe I should just backoff to a catback. Thanks for the input!

Price point? What's your budget?

Visit the thread of compiled exhaust videos for some samples

because I have the TRD exhaust...I'll say TRD. Not too obnoxiously loud or quiet as stock...juuuuust right.

Thanks all for the recommendations. I'll have to check out the Q300 and the TRD. Although price isn't too big an issue, it does look like there's some difference in those. I should be able to sell the Perrin locally as there are certainly a lot of the twins on the road these days. I'm currently running the small Phantom electric supercharger, which may be making the exhaust a little louder, but I imagine it should blow pretty well through any of these.

Had both the Q300 and Perrin 2.5 resonated, Q300 is just a little bit quieter IMO.

Which one do you have now? I noticed that you live in San Diego also.

I have the Perrin 2.5 resonated now. The Q300 was a little too quiet for my taste, so really we have the opposite problem

Do you still have the Q300? Is it for sale by chance?

Unfortunately I sold it a few months ago.
