RPF1 vs. 6UL vs. Forgestar F14
I'm currently in the market for a set of 17x9 wheels for autox and hpde but can't decide which to get. I'm leaning towards the 949 racing 6ULs but I really like the f14s specs too except for the fact that it's a 1+ month wait. If I get the f14s and one bends, I'd be stuck waiting for a replacement. Does anyone know which wheel is the most rigid/stiff out of these 3? That'll be the deciding factor for me. Or if there's any other lightweight wheels I can consider that's under $1300. I'm currently on 18x7.5 BBS RC 336s that I impulsively bought when I first got the car and now I need more tire to be competitive in STX class.

Not to make things more difficult but dont forget about the Apex arc-8. They make a nice 17x9 lightweight wheel too. I'm actually in the same boat as you and currently leaning towards the F14 just because it's the least common type wheel in my area. The rpf1 wheel is very popular and its for good reason, light, strong, and priced reasonable. You really can't go wrong with any of them, so for me I'm gonna make my final decision based on style. Appearance is subjective so I would pick the one you like the best. All of the above wheels are flow formed and I would say are equally strong.

I run Apex Racing ARC-8 17x9 +42. weight is about 17.8lbs per wheel. The company specializes in wheels for the BMW but made this one fitment for the BRZ/FRS. The BMW community tracks them and swear by them. They $250 a wheel. Fairly inexpensive and good quality.
I bought them because I wanted something different then what everyone else usually runs. ![]()

I saw those. I just don't like how they're exactly identical to my BBS RCs. Kind of defeats the purpose of getting new wheels even though they're more functional. If all the wheels in my list are equally as strong, then the logical choice seems to be rpf1s since they're the lightest and cheapest

RPF1's due to the less spokes to clean when washing your car
lol up to you really, IMO, a wheel's color can also make or break the wheel choice

Lol. I know all too well about wheel cleaning problems. Last time I cleaned my wheels it took me a little over an hour to clean most of the brake dust off. White + mesh wheels was definitely not a good idea.

I'm in the same boat. Just sold the stock wheels and I need to think about what to get for next year. Been eyeing the 6UL and the ARC-8s. I don't usually think mesh design works well with our cars but all of the cars I've seen with ARC-8s look amazing like @sactownbwoy so that makes me change my mind but then I'm terrified of trying to keep them clean. I feel like the 6UL will be easier to keep clean but then my lazy ass wants to get Enkei Kojin because they look like they will be very easy to clean. No idea what to do...

If your concerned with keeping wheels clean stay faaarrrrr away from mesh wheels. I personally love the way mesh wheels look on our cars but I hate cleaning my BBS wheels with a burning passion.
