The Legend of Godzilla Lives On!!

As a lot of us car enthusiasts who love the R34 GTR and idolize it as one of the greatest Super-Sports cars to come out of Japan yet cannot enjoy this in America now have a chance!

They will be recreating the R34 GTR and making several different versions with available LHD for possible, not yet confirmed for the U.S. but seems to be a very high probability.

http://www.japo-motorsport.com/motor...yline-r34-gtr/

In homage to one of the most well known Japanese super sports cars, JAPO Motorsports will keep the legend alive and starts production from January 2016.
These wonderful cars will be refurbished using the best components without losing their legendary character.

There will be 4 different models available to customers worldwide. The JAPO spec versions will be designed for road use while the JP versions would be the first choice for the race track. One of the highlights of the JP version is the LHD option which for technical reasons will only be offered on the Clubsport ( JP-02 ), or the race car ( JP-02.2 ).
Each model is designed for a specific operational purpose from normal road use to pure racing.
On the left, you will find an introduction to each of these extraordinary models

Refurbished.
And just because it is LHD, I wouldn't call it "very high probability" for it to come to the US market. That's like saying someone has a very high probability of winning the lottery(wins free ticket).
Motorex has the rights to import R33's legally(as a street car) because they did the crash testing.
These cars are probably 10-15k in used lots in japan. Figuring out how to get them street legal in the US is the hardest part . Or just bring them in as Race cars. I also doubt it would be anywhere near affordable or cheaper than a R35 GTR

Dreamers, keep on dreaming!

Not going to lie this is pretty fucking awesome! Would I buy one? No. Perhaps maybe if I were rich but still awesome nonetheless! Cant Imagine what the price is even for the lowest DD spec.

I thought motorex was out of business, due to them lying about crash testing on the cars.

You're right. They are out of business. Any they don't have the rights anymore as they did not renew their import licence with the DOT. The cars were tested, modified, and they got approved(after modifications done), then they started importing and selling them before they were DOT approved with the modifications needed.

I'm trying to point out that another company has imported R34's and various skylines into America but after all the trouble with the law they went though, I doubt the DOT will let anything Skyline GTR in. Also take note that, that website has the two LHD models as 20% street/80% race or 100%race. So possibility they import the cars under their own name or as a race car. Kind of like Shelby or Saleen.

The Motorex r32/r33 were about 30-45k and the R34's were 60-80+. I'd rather have a R35....

I did LOTS of research from the Motorex "scam" as I have a friend who owns a motorx r33 gtr spec-v in midnight purple.

Motorex only got DOT approval for the r33 gtr as that was the only one they crash tested. There are a very few amount of skyline legal in the U.S. as some are being imported under the 25 year import law, but still can't smog them in CA due to CA having no smog exempt law (except 1974 and below). Other places these skyline are legal due to no smog testing or some places have a law where theyre smog exempt after 25 years. (depends on where you live.)
Back to the r33. The r33 skyline was crash tested by Motorex and those skyline are LEGAL TO IMPORT IF THEY ARE MANUFACTURED BETWEEN 1/96 - 6/98. http://www.nhtsa.gov/cars/rules/import/ but still depending on where you live you still need to test for smog/emissions.

Be careful with that, though. There are still some modifications to the exhaust system and side impact beams in order for R33s to be road legal. Another way MotoRex got in trouble, and what ultimately lead to them closing, was that they were so poorly organized it took forever to get a car DOT approved. MotoRex started releasing cars without certification, and it was all downhill from there.

Yes R33 not R34, my mistake.
Legal to import. Sure.
Legal to register, drive, and insure on public roads? GOOD LUCK!

Legal to register- since it's legal to import all you need the corresponding emissions testing.
drive- as long as you have registration and insurance.
and insure on public roads? - depends on who you go through, this would be a pain on to find what insurance to go through but there are people who have insurance on their skyline and drive it legally in the states.

Until they hit the 25 year mark, for the most part only the Motorex cars are full legal and bonded. If they aren't bonded, they aren't legal.

If you have a legal car, show the bond, otherwise it's not legal.

http://www.showordisplay.com/

And you really need to do your research on what is legally allowed in the US.
