Awesome read. Glad to get a little history behind the car, especially for a Honda guy. However, one question I've had for a while is what gave the car the name "Hachiroku"? The article didn't mention that. It would be so cool if Toyota revived some of those names for the FT to come full circle.

I recommend this Hot Version (BMi) for a good viewing of AE86's in action. It features the current N2 AE86 series they do every year at Tsukuba.
