ZE40 18x10 +40 square

Just posting this as reference. Stock body FRS. Im running Volk ZE40 18x10 +40 all the way around with 245/40/18 tires. I had to camber the front a bit but so far no rubbing! (except full u turns). Im on function form coilovers damper set in the middle.

Looks great!! Im surprised we dont sell more of this fitment on the FRS/BRZ. I think it fits great and looks awesome. THOUGH, you must have coilovers.

The matte blue gunmetal looks great on the red man.

Yessir coils are necessary for inner clearance. Thank you! Took a chance on the colorway but it paid off lol.

okay so this might be a really really dumb question...... but how much does a wheel that wide affect the cars feel overall? most run this wide of a wheel with more power from what i understand.... but what about a stock FRS/BRZ?

The tires make a bigger difference on feel than the wheels.

245~255 is a pretty normal street setup. You don't need to go that wide but it works for most running a 9/9.5/10" wheel setup.

Are there any cons to having a wide meaty setup for a DD? Gas MPG wise. I know the MPH would be affected depending on what tire is being ran

Gas mileage is worse.
More road noise.
Car will be more prone to tramlining.
Tire wear will be less even.
Ride quality will be worse.

I haven't had any rubbing whatsoever with my ZE40. Same spec as you except I'm running 255/35/18 Hankook RS3 tires. I track with mine all the time too.

Definitely must be a fully forged wheel going this big. I rode a 18x9.5 wheel prior to this and car felt super sluggish. With this fully forged wheel It felt much lighter and more responsive when turning.
