Stitching on shifting boot

This may sound a little silly, but it bugs me when I see it. A very small part of the stitching came off on the front of the shift boot where it connects to the reverse ring and became frayed. I never really touch the shift boot much less the front of it. Being that I'm still under warranty, do you think the dealership will replace that for me? It means a little more to me since it's the blue stitching that came with the series.blue.

Oh, my ....... now, that IS a "first world" BRZ problem .....

(jest ah messen wich ya)

I reckon the dealer may replace it under warranty ...... depending on how they are feeling that day.

I suggest you ask them. If they say no, stop by the parts department and ask how much a replacement would cost.

Then decide if it bugs you that much .....

Superglue it if the dealer won't do it out of warranty.

The back side of my red stitching just frayed off about 3 days ago. I don't really see it under normal use, but it still bugs the hell out of me. Luckily, I'm pretty sure that small piece was glued onto the boot to begin with, so that's what I plan on doing.

I have this also, have debated taking it back for warranty but will likely do as above. I'm a bit surprised as mine is 3 years old but low mileage.
