Flashing back to stock before dealer visit

I swear I read something about this before but I can't find it now. searching dealer, flash, stock returns almost every thread on this forum lol.

Should I be flashing back to stock before having scheduled maintenance done at the dealership? I thought there was a thread where if the dealership updates the ECU with a new factory tune it will cause problems with OFT and could possibly unmarry my OFT from my car.

They are definitely going to see the aftermarket headers as i'm obviously not going to change them out for 1 day but I am just trying to save my self a possible headache with the ECU. Does anyone know from personal experience if the dealership will tell you beforehand if they plan to update your ECU?

What are they doing with the car? If it's just an oil change, I wouldn't worry to much about it. I've been to the dealership a couple times since flashing my car with the OFT and haven't had anyone notice.

I haven't flashed back to stock at all.....

If you're not going to uninstall your aftermarket header for your dealer visit, then I wouldn't flash your tune back to stock either

It is just an oil change. They wanted to do a tire rotation as well but I will be getting winter tires fairly soon so I told them I only want the oil change.

Their service department still has my car listed as an xB and for some reason my VIN seems to pull up an xB on my insurance company's database so I have a feeling it is gonna be a cluster**** with them not having the correct parts on hand.

from reading here and speaking to two different dealers when i first got the car about outstanding TSB's, they tend to take a stand of do nothing unless you complain something is wrong. in comparison to previous car, the acura dealer would do any applicable TSB updates for that model even though they were not safety related or even mention of an issue by myself.

It'll never hurt to flash back to stock. But if you'll end up throwing a CEL because of your header that would probably make them check the code. Hmm.. Up to you.
