Rear shock top mounts

Can anyone answer this? What is the orientation of the tab on the rear shock mounting bracket, towards the front or towards the back. Have replaced springs and shocks per DYI in this forum and there was no mention of any orientation requirements, so I was not paying attention when the rear shocks were taken out. One post had said they should be toward the front and a few post later there was a comment saying they should be towards the back

Any help would greatly be appreciated!
