Body kit weather stripping alternative
I am installing a TRD replica body kit. I am not that in to the weather stripping people use to protect the paint under the body kit. I want the paint protected, but is there another product that doesn't stand out as much? Maybe some really thick clear film or something?

You can always try putting clear bra on the parts where the body kit goes on, but that could still eventually scratch and peel if the kit moves and rubs against it. I don't think the weather stripping is to "protect" the paint but more to clean up the edges and seal any gaps that might show.
