Lights

So, driving tonight I noticed a few things about the car's lighting:

Brake lights seem BRIGHT! Someone pulled up behind me - 9pm. His face was clearly lit by my brake lights. He was an older man and I felt really bad so I balanced the clutch instead of remaining on the brakes. I need to see just how bright those brake lights are for myself!

Headlights - settings in the owners manual are for 0,1, 2. The car goes 0-5. Setting 0 seemed to be too high as I could see the cutoff line was very close to the STI in front of me's mirrors. Lit the road well and the high beams seemed blinding reflecting off road signs.

Interior lights - on the interior dimmer, the highest setting also changes the NAV screen as well. Will have to see if it makes it bright enough to see in the daytime if I want to run my headlights.

Daytime running lights - these seem to turn off when you put your headlights on, but stay on with the parking lights. Wish they stayed on with the headlights.

Yeah, LED brake lights can be super bright. Not being able to have the DRL and headlights on at the same time must be some kind of new US law or something. Because if you look at other country's models, they stay on.

You can set the nav to change from day to night mode based on time and not the headlight switch btw.

Right - but if you have it set to dim when headlights are on, turning the interior dimmer switch to full brightens the NAV display. (every other setting on the dimmer has no effect on the NAV screen).

Yeah but still leaves it in night mode which is much harder to read
