FS: AST/HVT 6100e Actively Controlled Electronic Coilovers
This is a full set of HVT (formerly AST USA) 6100e Actively Controlled Electronic Coilovers for the FRS/BRZ. I had them on my BRZ for 9 months, mostly daily driven (8,000 miles) and tracked once. These coilovers are by the best system you can possibly buy for this car offering a perfect balance between better than stock comfort and complete body control for the track. Here is a better description of this system from HVT's website than I could ever write.
ACE is a technology that can be as simple as offering limited adjustment all the way to fully active, velocity based damping (VBD) and displacement based damping (DBD). The ACE module can be upgraded to any level of control in the family. No replacement parts are required. Some of the key features and options of ACE include:
What all of this means is there is a control unit with buttons on it you mount on the dash or in the center console. If you're daily driving with the wife in the car, you can set the system to full soft and it's more comfortable than the stock suspension by far. When you're ready to hit the track, you set everything to full stiff, active anti-roll, anti-pitch, anti-dive, and anti-squat. It's an amazing experience feeling the car lose any since of body roll even with the stock sway bars in place. Here is a link to the company who creates the electronic valving. And here is a technical paper on the valves themselves. HVT's website offers a much more in-depth writeup of the amazing technology that goes into these coils. These coilovers are upgradable to remote reservoirs if you ever need to. This kit comes the control unit, all wiring, and all parts needed. This is the complete coilover kit from HVT. Retail for this kit was well over $6k. I'm asking $3200 obo for the kit shipped.
