A/C not cold enough
Hey guys I'm new here.
Is it just me or the AC is not blowing enough cold air? did I mess something up? The AC switch is on, the fan is working fine, but its just not as cold as other cars like BMW. I just got my car last week with 2-300 km and everything else is working fine. |

In my experience toyotas have had excellent AC and blow artic cold.
If yours seems to be performing less than any other average car then there is something wrong. Mine blows out cold air (even on a hot day) within ~20 seconds of turning it on. |

You're not driving fast enough.

do you have tinted window? tinted window helps air condition a lot. I was actually just amazed how this 4 cylinder car air condition works so well (maybe because i have tinted window)

Not sure why you maybe experiencing but I recall both my FRS's blowing freezing cold air as compared to my M3 which at times turned off compressor when going WOT.. also wasn't cold when starting up and not until it started to move would it cool down, mind you this was a brand new bmw. Maybe you shouldn't compare it as much and if its really that bad take it to the dealer.

are you sure you have it set to the coldest? my AC gets cold within 15 seconds of turning it on in 100F+ weather. I do have my windows tinted though so that probably helps. however, I do notice that you are in Thailand and maybe the AC is different for non-USDM spec cars?

A/C not cold enough
How much time do you spend in the high rpms? If I remember correctly I read the ac shuts off past 4k... Could be wrong.

This is the first time I've heard that German cars have A/C that blows colder than Japanese cars. Toyota probably has the fastest and coldest A/C known to mankind lol!

Sort of, but not really. The AC compressor clutch will disengage when you go WOT, to eliminate the parasitic drag of the compressor. If you're just cruising at 4K+, the AC still works. It's a function of throttle position more than RPM.

One thing that I still find amazing about this car is how it blows cold air immediately after starting it at 90F

My A/C sucks as well, IMO. It blows cold air but never seems to be quite enough when sitting in traffic. If my windows were tinted I'm sure I'd think differently... Compared to other cars I've owned the A/C sucks, but it's enough to not be drenched in sweat.
