help with sticky crap
some of you might know I do some detailing on the side, but I'm really stuck on something and am asking forum members for some tricks I don't know
![]() I got ny new brz and I didn't want the dealership to touch my car with any brushes or towels, but have them remove that white protective sticky sheet. but now there's some left over stickiness. I tried clay and got some of it off tried APC and didn't really do much tried griots adhesive remover but that didn't really work unless I'm doing it wrong. I put the adhesive remover on the spots and let it set for about a minute and gently wipe with a MF towel. any other solutions? be more aggressive with wiping the adhesive remover? |

iso alcohol and dilute it a bit with water. Should come right off. Used to be a recon tech at a couple dealerships and this was our formula for new cars.

I am interested in which remedy works for you too, I hate the appliqué on the rear bumper of my car. Might take it off soon.

LOL. k so I just got it all off.
adhesive remover = no bug and tar remover = no all purpose cleaner = no clay = no what worked and I was like wtf?! YES! sealant and microfiber towel I had A LOT of residue on my hood and I couldn't get it off, then I was just like screw it I'll put sealant over it and whatever. but then I watched it all come off. I used chemical guys factory sealant and a microfiber buffing towel @Subie_Nubie |

3M adhesive remover. Apparently, there is a heavy duty version as well. Wish I would've known that when replacing my clear bra.

You could always use NMP, I'm sure it would work since it would also probably take off the paint.
