EURO STANDARDS emission testing with catless header
Hello, I want to change the exhaust header for a catless header (Nameless Performance). For specific reasons, I only have to comply with the Euro Standard laws, not with the ones specific to our cars. Those would be:
- The volume of CO (carbon monoxide) cannot be over 0.2% of the total output gas volume both in idle and when accelerating at 2500rpm. - The Lambda coefficient (according to Brettscheider’s formula) must be in the following range: 0.97<Lambda>1.03 when accelerating at 2500rpm. Does any of you know if having only the second cat would be enough to pass those tests? Any experiences, testing results or numbers will be greatly appreciated!! |
