DBW Motorsports tune (Atlanta)
Flex Fuel kit from Moto East @moto-mike
Precision 5558 turbo
9:1 compression built motor

444whp/350wtq on high map E80/20psi
372whp/291wtq on low map E80/13psi
340whp/270wtq on low map 93/9psi

It'll go a bit higher when the gas tank fully becomes E85.

It's tuned to run any combination of 93/E85 and will compensate timing, tuning, PSI, power, etc depending on ethanol content level.

Hey it lasted fine for over 2 years on the previous turbo at 20psi on 93. The motor will enjoy 20psi much more on E85 this time

Awesome numbers. Even with low compression looks like you're making good use of the e85 with the higher boost. That plot looks like the turbo still has another 2-3 psi in it, but really solid numbers with your compression ratio.

Yeah it's not too bad. This Precision 5558 with journal bearing on 9:1 compression makes a similar power graph to a stock block 12.5:1 compression with a GT2867R. A GTX2867R spools about 400-500rpm quicker. Maybe if I went with the DBB version I could've made the graph shift left ~300rpm and be a little closer to GTX territory.

Still not bad for a $1000 JB turbo.

The car hasn't seen past E80 either, should look even better on E85 when the tune adjusts.

So your tune lets the ecu adjust boost levels based on ethanol content in your gas? Is there a range it is set to operate in?

The car was tuned for multiple ethanol levels as we added E85 into a tank that had 93 in it. But yes it adjusts things like timing and boost to compensate ethanol content levels. I'm running E77 at the moment and going to fill up later today to try to hit E85.

The range it operates in is anything from pure 93 octane pump gas to full blown E85. I believe it can handle up to E90 as well, but I'm not sure it'll ever see that. As you may already know, pump gas already contains 10% ethanol so that is what the computer is seeing and it thinks it's running E10. So I guess you could say the range is from E10-E90. I'm not sure what would happen if I ran pure gasoline with zero ethanol, but I'm sure it would be fine.

I honestly have no idea as I haven't talked to them in a while. I wouldn't buy their kit though honestly. Not because it's a bad kit, it's an excellent kit. They provided me awful customer support after my kit was installed. And their tuner could've provided me with a much better tune.

You might be better off getting a kit from Full Blown Motorsports or similar. They have amazing support and the kit is also top notch.

If you have a flex fuel kit, the ecu can integrate the AFR, timing and other adjustments based on the ethanol content automatically.
When I got my car tuned, the tuner tuned for 91 and then E66. Based on these 2 parameters, everything else above e66 or in between E0 and E66 was taken care of.

It's a built motor at 9:1 compression, it can probably handle 30 psi...if it has forged internals and good bearings as long as it doesn't get oil or fuel starved.

people are running 13 psi at 12.5:1, that's a hell of a lot more dangerous than 20 psi at 9:1.
