Hi everybody in the forum,
I was wondering what is the Pipe Diameter after you take of the stock exhaust tips off? I really want to switch out those little ones we have right now. I believe I lot people here also what to know the answer. Can you give me a few choices which would make is look like euro sepcs? Round, angled, etc. I am a total noob when it comes to exhaust tips ![]() Thanks a lot Eric *Update*: Just went to my local Canadian Tire this afternoon for luck and look what I found!! 29.99CAD each + 12%HST = 67.18 dollars well spent Alignment took a little while, but I want it to look like its stock from the factory. I would say they don't look too bad, what do you say! *Special thanks to "Draco-REX", the 2 1/4" pipe diameter is pretty much spot on ![]() **More Update** Since I see some people here in Canada want to know more about the Tips that I brought from Canadian Tire. Here is some information about the Tips. I think they are not on the Canadian Tire website, I just happen to see them in store, nor are they big brand products(or are they?). However, I am extremely impressed by the quality of the Tips considered their price. Go to your local store and check them out, since my store carries lots of there products in many different styles. There's a good chance yours carry it too! The installation was pretty easy, the 2.25" diameter is a little bigger than the stock pipes, and its a good thing. You can angle the tips for a look that you prefer. There's a lot of room to adjust the lenth, so you can stick it out if you want. But I slide it all the way in to make it look like this which I prefer. You can use the Z thingy came with the furnitures that you get from IKEA to screw the... screws? Hope that helped, if you have more questions let me know! Last edited by Ericfrs; 06-15-2012 at 02:17 PM. Reason: Tiny project update |

I was thinking of replacing the tips altogether with larger tips. Maybe sawing the current ones off and have new ones welded on.(professionally of course)
I'm not sure what to do, or where to go.

Put the saws-all down.
Now back away slowly. Ok. Relax. Now click here: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7275 These are the ones I chose until I can get a full exhaust: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...909#post233909 If I were to guess on the piping size, maybe 2 1/4" |

I believe the tips we have right now are only held in place by a 10mm bolt and can be easily removed! Hope that is good news for you, or you just want to saw something off XD

Draco-REX you beat me to it!!
The ones you have looks neet. I was wondering if DC Sports makes ones that are a little bigger? Diameter wise. |

Yup. The EX-1010 is a 4" angled tip and the EX-1013 is a 4.5" angled tip. All of these are at Advance Auto Parts. Other chains will have different brands and styles.

Hey Ericfrs,
Awesome exhaust tips for your Ultramarine FR-S! I think they look really good and I want to add them to my FR-S when it is delivered laster this month. I was searching the Canadian Tire website, and I was wondering, were these the exhaust tips you bought? http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/brows....jsp?locale=en Did it come already sized to fit a 2 1/4" pipe diameter, or did you have to do anything to make it fit properly? Thanks for the pics!

Thanks for sharing Eric! these tips look exactly like the JDM tips; probably even better because I do really like the ring within a ring look that you mentioned; & they're less than half the cost! Amazing; I plan to do this =D
