White Tire Lettering

I'm thinking about either painting the Dunlop on my tires white or getting something like the TredWear letters. has anyone had any experiences with either of these two?

I haven't used either, but I know painting doesn't last long, it quickly fades and cracks from the constant stretching and heating up. Treadwear is vinyl that basically welds to the tires.

i got a set from TredWear. These are rubber letters that are glued to the sidewalls with basically something like KrazyGlue on steroids. Kinda pricey so I hesitated for a year to buy a set, but finally got them and i love it. Their customer service and communication is AWESOME too. I made a mistake on my order and they were super quick to help me out so i didn't have to pay more than i should've.

@BRGT86 nice car!
What happened to the front tire with the prox(es)? What wheels are those? specs? Did you remove the mirror covers? or paint/vinyl them?

nice pictures. are all the letters one sizing, or do you have to specify what size letters?

I went with a paint pen. Gelly Roll from Hobby Lobby. Has been through a couple washes. Takes roughly an hour per tire. I will probably go with the stick on ones later down the road.

thanks! the front "es" letters tore off cuz i didnt glue it down and set it properly... so my fender decided to rip it off on a dip lol. i raised the front of my car just a few mm after that :/

wheels are 57DR in 17x9 +38 with 245/40 tires. they're originally gunblue but i color-matched it to pearl white. i have them at -2.0 deg camber up front.

the mirror covers are actually the oem painted ones off a raven frs.

thanks. they have two sizes that i know of, 1-in and 1.5-in. i went with the 1-in on mine. and yes you do select which height you want (same cost for either size). i cant remember if they have other sizes or not though.

I might go with the glue on letters then. I was watching a video about them on DRIVE and they say the white is easy to clean and doesn't fade. I'm just skeptical about gluing them on lol. Would just DUNLOP look good, or should I add DIREZZA too, like how the TOYO PROXIES are? Only thing putting me off from including DIREZZA is that it's gonna have a lot of letters on the tire in the end lol

the glue is pretty damn strong. you just gotta make sure the sidewall is super clean before applying the letters. as long as you follow the instructions exactly, you'll have no issues.

yeah after i put on the "proxes" i was like damn, thats a lot going on hahah. next time i might just do one word only. i think you should get both and then put on just one word and see if you like it. if you do, then you could save the other word for the next set of tires. if you want both on, then you'll already have it ready to go.
