Pick up my FRS friday... ordering wheels today. Some questions

I have gone through loads and loads of posts and really haven't quite found my answer so I figured I would post here... Starters I never really have cared about wheel fitment. But since i'm trading in my 2011 STi for this FRS I want to go for a certain look. For now I'm prob going to run the stock tires on a 17x7.5 then later go to a 225x45. I've been shopping around for some decent wheels that will somewhat flush out to the fenders. I'm quite the fan of enkeis and wondering if these 17x7.5 40 offset would be a good candidate? thoughts? advice? input? I'm really not looking into spending more then 1k for a set of wheels atm untill I save up to buy coils.... already going to be dumping $$$$$ on a full exhaust from Nameless Performance. Headers back... coils come next... Wheels are kinda just a get by if you catch my drift. Oh yea the FRS is going to be asphalt grey. So i'm deff going black.

7.5" and ET 40 will push the wheels out approx. 14 mm (slightly more that 1/2") compared to stock. I guess you will be pretty flush in front and have a little gap on the rear wheels. I planning to buy 17x7.5" as well. I wish RPF1 could come with ET40. Now they are only ET48 mm.

Anyone, correct me if my calculation is wrong.

That's correct, but remember the tire is often the widest part of the package. If he's using the stock tires, they will only be 8mm closer to the fenders.

Indeed stock tires till I burn them up. Was also wondering what wheel choice I would be using after the stock... pick my FRS up tomorrow at 4pm.... SO SIKED. I guess we shall see how close it hugs. Spacers will do the rest. I'm use to AWD so I have no experience in RWD tire choice.

Picked up my car a couple days ago.... already have 700 miles on her and loving the living hell out of it!

Ordered PF01 17x8 and some BC coil overs for now. Can't wait for them to go on!

I'm glad you're loving your FRS. I was going to get asphalt too but I went with the Raven.
