From what they mentioned they say they are getting there sales and rep packages this week. The one thing Roy Robinson stated is that they will be getting 6 BRZ when they come in. Magic toyota stated 4 FR-S. They both stated that they will be taking custom orders but they will take 8-12 weeks......Damn 3 month waiting list is going to suck but worth it if I get what I want. Thanks for checking and posting. I was just thinking we needed a thread like this.
I'd love to know what other folks have heard from Chaplins, Walker's, etc - all of the other area Suby dealers. I'm on the verge of emailing some of them myself. I'd really like it if one of them got a BRZ in for a couple of days to show, like some of the SoCal dealerships have been doing. |

BRZ info-
Walkers Renton Subaru only has one confirmed signed pre-order (me ) and is getting 16 cars this year. I was able to talk them into 400 under MSRP.Carters in shoreline is getting 20, but has a ton more pre-orders (I'm 3rd in line there). They won't budge off of MSRP, but they seem to be a more upstanding dealership- they told me they would NOT sell above MSRP, no matter what. Walkers says they will sell above MSRP as soon as they possibly can, when the demand is high enough. |

I talked to Roy Robinson Subaru in Marysville, WA today. They are getting 6 cars, and they want $2,000 over sticker price.
I do not think I will be placing a preorder with Roy Robinson. |

Can't you guys in WA go to Oregon and buy it there? It's about a 3 hr drive from Seattle to Portland right?

Yeah, but what would be the point? I guess possibly having access to more dealerships? We don't get out of paying sales tax - state hits you with excise tax once you register it, which is basically the same thing.

I'd just love to know when one dealership in our area (and I mean anywhere remotely close) is going to have a BRZ to at least look at. Jeez...I just can't bring myself to put in an order for a car I've never seen in person. I don't need to drive the thing, but man...at least to sit in it would be nice before committing to plunk down $27+ .

For us in SoCal, if I was buying the first year like you guys, I would drive past LA at some of the less populated dealerships. CA is strict when it comes to buying a new car out of state. If bought, the car has to have 7500 miles before it can be registered here.

Most dealers will have a Demo to show/ test. Then it sounded they all have different allocations to order. My local dealer said if you want one at dealer expect +$2000 MSRP, but if you order normal pricing. However, if ordering is like an STi, they have been FAST! My brother just traded in his 08' STi on a 12' and avg 2-3 weeks to arrive after order placed. So if these are good to go, hoping be FAST TOO once placed. But how lame, pay up for the one at dealer, they seem to want to order how you want and just keep one at dealer from my understanding.
I am curious on First 86 deal how soon we will get the car, darn waiting game. After flying down to Toyota Sports Headquarters / Formula Drift / Dinner w/ Scion VP it said we would be contacted after the " Fun Filled weekend " about details to get the car. Scion Went BIG for First 86, Cool Stuff !!!! Def be interesting to see a CA FD Event, I've gone to Monroe,WA event since 2006, Fun Times!!!

Any other Seattle area / Washington orders out there? Either no one is actively posting (here, or in other popular forums like NASIOC), or the demand in our area isn't as high as in other areas. Seems quiet.
Personally, I'm trying not to get too worked up about this car - would love to actually see the thing first (crazy, huh??). But I did just email a few dealerships about it, now that they actually acknowledge that their taking orders. |
