AMT machine shop, sti brakes mounted.

So working on a customers car and we fitted sti calipers and rotors on his car. very simple. The rotors needed redrilling to 5x 100, the calipers bolted right on. then all we need is a 15 mm or maybee slightly thicker wheel spacer for the factory wheels to clear the caliper. ARP lexus IS 300 extended studs fit perfectly, you will need to change to 12 x 1.5 wheel nuts though. these will be cleaned up before final install but you get the idea.

Change the bleeder over or do you have the differential pistons backwards?

It's been known for months they "fit". You could have also just used 2004 STi rotors without redrilling them.

it was what the customer supplied for goodness sakes!!!. Yes the bleeders have been switched over so the pistons are in the correct orientation.

How difficult is it to switch the bleeders? Simply drill, tap. install, and cap the other side?

there are threaded allen head plugs they are in there nice and tight if you try to just crack them loose you WILL round the head out . you need to heat up the caliper right were the plugs are and use a fair load on the allen key while you are heating. The plug will crack loose . only use as much heat as needed to crack them loose you dont want to overheaten the calipers. this WILL burn the clearcoat off the area . other than that just flip the bleeders to the other side and reinstall the plugs.
