Custom made Jack stand supports

Inspired from the OEM jack. I cut 2-1/4" long pieces from a 2x1 1/8" thick tube. Then cut a 3/8" groove and welded them to a set of 2 ton jacks.

The goal here is to prevent damage to the pinch weld and underbody.

Have you ever damaged a pinch weld in the past? I have NEVER had any issues just using the jack stands as is..

Me neither. Done by a a friend who is a fabricator. Cutting and grinding was 80% of the work.
