Can I get rid of this?

Pulled off the front bumper and see all this restrictive looking tubing connected to the air box. Can all of it be pulled off, and if not, how about the one in front of the engine at least?
Thanks.

Are you talking about the black resonator box? It is not restrictive it just cancels out certain frequencies that your air box may emit. There is some evidence that removing it can mess with your MAF readings but I ran without it for a year without any noticeable issues. Gnome tuning make plastic and aluminium plugs for the hole it leaves when you remove it.

Just spent 20 minutes search for all this information that is available and have not come up with anything useful, hence the post in the first place.

Here's one where they found removing resonators lowers efficiency. I found this searching using my phone.

And here's one where they measured air pressure at various points in the intake to see what each part does.
