Headers, headers, headers...

Hey guys, really need some input on this since I can't make up my mind.

Looking at EL headers, I auto-x, track, and daily drive my car. I can't make up my mind between spending $1200 on the Nameless EL and spending ~900 or so on the P&L EL. Their isn't too much dyno info out there going from an unmolested car to a car with just the header on, many are skewed by other aftermarket parts.

So do I spend the extra dough for the nameless or settle with the P&L? Car will be staying N/A.

Opinions appreciated!!

If you're tracking and doing autox you should definitely budget in there for a tune if you haven't already, you'll be running safer and optimized for power.
Also, any reason JDL isn't part of your options?

I don't think buying the P&L is settling in any way. Keep in mind the OEM header is an EL with a cat. Most aftermarket catless EL headers perform at a similar level to the stock header with the cat removed. Which header has the features you want at an acceptable quality level? Buy that one no matter the cost.

The best midrange power is JDL, but i think its the UEL. Regardless just get a Tomei and a good tune then the rest of the money on track days. Honestly speaking i dont think the 1k+ priced headers are worth all that money unless you're comparing them to the really cheap ebay ones out there.

That's just luck, or it didn't come on yet. There's nothing about a brand of pipe that would cause one uncatted header to have a CEL and the other not. If you just installed the header, you will probably see it after about 1000 miles. That's how long it took for mine to come on (before getting my tune).

I have full exhaust with the headers now installed. It went right on with ease so... I like it.

P&L EL catted and coated header + Delicious Tuning tune. Very happy with it.

P&L uses thicker scheduling piping since it's designed for their turbo kit.

Stock is not a true EL, still slightly UEL afaik.

You'll need a tune. don't be dumb.
