CF on Blk FR-S question

Any opinion on how carbon looks on a Blk frs. Just curious on how I want to go about buying these parts and how it looks. Pictures or anything will help. Thanks!

No idea what you're asking... some people like to bling w/ carbon, some don't. It's all personal taste.

Just get what you want. If you can't visualize it, well... can't help you there.

OP just wants an opinion on what carbon looks like on a black car. The idea is that Carbon accent can look stunning on most other colours (red/white) but since it almost blends in with the black, what do people think.

IMO, doesn't flow well. Just looks like you slapped something "carbon" on; no design style. Some go with a kevlar carbon or silver weave carbon and like it, personally I'll invest carbon in my interior first on the black cars, nothing really to add to the outside (excluding some tasty lips :P)

Thank you. Your reply really helped. Didn't want to invest a lot of money into what I thought would look really good but turns out that nothing really visually has changed, like you said "just some carbon slapped on". Thanks a lot!

@FRSPhil

I have a Seibon wet CF trunk on my Raven FR-S. I get more compliments on this one piece than anything else. The idea is to keep things understated if you're going to add such a show piece, so I went spoilerless. Posted a pic for you to decide.

Looks great man. I like to keep it simple and not have a whole lot more going on with the CF that it distracts from the rest of the car. Really looks good though. Appreciate it.

I'm somewhat partial on CF. I like little bits rather than giant pieces. I prefer a CF trunk much more than a CF hood to be honest.

Personally, I like the CF better when there is a contrasting color like silver or white. It tends to look a bit odd to me on black, but that's just my opinion.

I had a black 98 240sx with a Chargespeed CF hood and loved it at first, then I kind of grew out of it over some time.

I was interested in CF hood and trunk and nothing more than that. Besides the interior. Guess I can just put the pieces together and see how it turns out in a year or two. Definitely the last thing I want is to be bored of it. A few cosmetics here and there should help the appearance maybe not look so bland. Thanks for your thoughts though greatly appreciated!
