Kartboy Short Shifter Kit

Anyone have any issues with the kartboy short shifter being kind of clunky? Hard to shift at sometimes? Also, downshifting into 2nd seems to be a chore. It just doesn't seem to be as smooth or fluid as the stock shifter. I know I know, if I loved the other shifter so much, put it back in, but I just didn't know if it was an install issue, fitment issue, or possible defect.

Thanks.

its a shorter throw shifter compared to stock, so shifting will require more effort.

Have you adjusted the reverse lockout plate?

More importantly, have you changed the transmission oil?

FWIW, Kartboy shifter lowers the linkage point which causes an indirect transfer of force to the transmission side, thus making it harder to shift. A raised pivot point solves this, but adds substantially to the cost of a shifter. Examples of these are the STi shifter, and the TWM.
