Lower Control Arms

Hey All,

I'm looking at getting Eibach Sportline Springs. Because of the 1.4" drop, I decided to get some Lower Control Arms. Since I will be mostly DD'ing my car, and it will likely only see the track once a year (if that), I decided to go with a lower-end LCA.

Since I've read some recommendations on the SPC ones, those were at the top of my list. But I have also come across ones from "Top Speed Auto" that are similarly priced as the SPC ones:

http://topspeedauto.com/scion-fr-s-f...-control-arms/

I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with these, or have found any reviews not them?

P.S. Someone "said" they are similar to the SPC ones, and if they are, I would buy these ones just because they are orange lol. But obviously, quality is what I'm looking for first.

SPC

Megan Racing

ISC

Whiteline

Cusco

Yours are similar to Cusco and Megan.

For Canadian winters, I would stay away from exposed heim joints. If you need the adjustability, either use an unexposed design (like SPC) or get one that uses stainless heim joints and lube/cover the exposed threads.

thank you very much for your reply. It was very informative. Since I will be dealing with Canadian winters, looks like I'll be getting the SPC ones.

The ones that shankenstein posted are the OLD style SPC. The new style SPC look damn near identical to OEM except with an eccentric bolt at the lower hub connection which allows camber adjustment.

Give us a PM if you are interested in having us ship some control arms to Canada.

Well I also deal with salt in winter (probably less than you) and I wanted the SPC LCAs too... But SPC parts don't seem to be up to the task. I think @Dezoris would concur.

Hmmm... I wonder if anyone else is having this issue. He did say the part was a Whiteline bolt (and different part at that), made by SPC. In the images/videos I have seen, the hardware appears to be stainless for the lower control arms. OP, may want to check with the vendor on that subject?
