turbo vtec

According to carbuzz, Honda will be providing a line up of vtec turbo engines which will be produced at their Ohio facility. Good news for enthusiasts. Perhaps they will start offering more exciting vehicles

They'll probably figure out a way to integrate the turbo into the block so you can't replace it. Some of you will know what I mean.

turbo vtec

They will continue to get the hate because most 18 year olds' civic are improperly modded fwd race car trying to drift, aka riced

However if they start developing a rwd Honda it's a different

It will lead to the followings:
1. The newly developed Rwd civics will be like how 18 year olds in their mustangs in a ghetto area trying to do donuts.

2. Be very expensive like the s2k and youngsters will continue to rice out their fwd civic and integras because they don't have the money for a new car.

Either way the Honda rice name is pretty much embedded on the car as soon as the car looks 1% different from when it left the dealership

Crate engines

well we'll see how they perform when they come out, would be great if something could stop the flood of LS swaps

Honda did the right thing by turning their back on enthusiasts. The enthusiasts, were rarely the ones buying brand new cars and at some point they probably tainted the image of the brand a bit. Ducky hit the nail on the head.

The problem is that enthusiasts aren't happy with anything. Seriously.

They used to do FWD very well but once they switched to MacPhails it was game over. Bring back the unequal length A-arms and a bare bones sporty hatch that would compete with the new Miata and the Twins. A 14:1 power to weight ratio it's exactly a tall target for a entry level niche sporty car.

That is true, I drive a scion but I had a EK civic as my first car.

Hondas are actually not bad of a car to drive, it's quite reliable and it's vtec does work when you are trying to get power like cutting onto the freeway.

However(there always have to be a but after some praising as nothing's perfect), friends who don't have Hondas are always laughing at me at me for the vtec. Being at school parking lot always had kids staring and laughing at my "ricer civic" just because I had an aftermarket exhaust. There are some really nice after market stuff like mugen.

It really sucks that other 17 18 year olds are ruining the image of honda. The main problem is of course MONEY. If kids had the money they can make their Honda looks super nice and it would just be the same as the Subaru community. None of that Ricey or vtec yoooo bullshit. An wrx are about twice the cost of si. (Not to mention the Sti) the market of Subaru is obviously not younger adults, and at a more mature group. While younger kids who cannot afford nice fast rides like subarus will go for civic and accords as their family will buy their first car for them. Because they are young they won't have much money for mods, they will go cheap and it will make the car look cheap. This cycle continues UNLESS Honda raise picks up their game meaning creating great vehicles like awd and rwd civics(two trims like is350 and TT etc.) making new vehicles won't help as the car deprecates, they need to make their price premium like subarus so prices don't depreciate that badly. Leave the cheap cars to other company like Toyota, Hyundai. Having a higher reputation brand is overall better than having a cheap affordable car. If a consumer is happy with its first Sti, they will most likely become a fanboy and upgrade to the newest gen. You don't see much of a beater civic upgrading to a brand new civic.

Developing a new car or a new engine is not enough to raise the company's reputation overall(not yet at least)

Enough ranting, if you read this far, continue and shit on my opinions if you disagree

that'd be quite hard to make a turbo vtec motor withstand an 11,000 possible rpm redline.

I thought of this for some reason...

anyways didn't the CEO of honda say they rather pursue efficient FWD vehicles in their line up, and wont be seeing any new sports cars.
