Perrin motor mounts
Thinking about adding these to my list of parts to order for the spring. Does anyone currently run these? If so, how much to have them installed? I imagine they need do use an engine hoist and whatnot? My friend had these installed on his 06 mustang and having driven it myself before and after the install, I notice a difference in both a little added NVH (a negative) but added engine "feel" and throttle response (positive). I did try to search the forums but crazy amounts of bs came back. The only thing that makes me wary is the fact that the interior on our cars isn't the highest quality. More vibration may cause the door panels to fall off blues-mobile style. Any tips would be appreciated.

The STi Group-N mounts are a nice compromise of stiffer mounts but not a significant increase in NVH. They're a little pricey though.
If you haven't done it already, the Whiteline subframe bushing inserts give a similar feel (less drivetrain slop) but very little NVH, and are inexpensive. The differential mount inserts are even better, but added a bit of noise in my case. |

I run them, no issues with things falling off over the past year. No engine hoist needed, the install can be carried out using a jack on the corners of the oil pan. As for NVH, it will depend on your sensitivity but I run poly (or aluminum) bushings everywhere and it doesn't bother me.
