Different year brz navi not compatible???

I had a issue where my navigation on my brz broke... The screen was shattered and I need to get a new one...
I have a 2013 brz... Now if I get a 14-15 brz navigation will it all be compatible???
I read online that it isn't... I have been searching but it has something to do with the aha

Is it true?

I can't see why it wouldn't be. I don't know if the head unit itself is different, but I don't think there were any changes to the microphone or speaker setup in the American BRZ.

For Canadians in this situation there might be an issue with mic compatibility since the 2013's used a weird aftermarket looking Pioneer HU and mic but I don't see you having an issue. You can also look at FRS head units without compatibility concerns, keeping in mind not all are touchscreen and not all touchscreen FRS units have navigation.
