Experience w/ 235/45R17 on 7" wheel for autox?
I'll be in the market for new tires for autocross next month. I'm running in C-Street, and I'm currently on 245/40R17 BFG Rival. I've got my eye on either the RS3 and the new Z2 Star Spec. I'm curious as to who has tried running with the taller 235/45R17. Not interested in comments about how the tire is pinched, it doesn't fit, blah blah...
What are your experiences with it compared to a 225/45, 235/40, or 245/40? How did it feel? Did the taller gearing help? etc.? |

I've run them the whole last year (on the back only).
I can't really give you a comparison to other sizes, but I didn't have much issue with it. For "data", you can see some of my videos for speed vs. RPM if you have a concern.
