Tire Question for NY/NJ owners

My dilemma is that I am driving my FRS to New York/New Jersey and will be there from Late December to Early February. I have never taken my car north in the dead of winter before and don't exactly want to lose control cause I was driving with the wrong tires for the season.

So my question is what tires should I buy given I will only be in the area for a little over a month? Winter tires doesn't seem to be economically feasible as I will be driving to San Diego after I leave NY/NJ.

Thanks for the help and advice in advance!

Maybe try the Nokian WRG3 which is technically an all season but it actually performs better in winter than some dedicated winters?

Honestly the most economical and safest thing would probably be to find a used set of winter wheels/tires on Craigslist or here. Summer tires aren't going to work AT ALL up here in the snow.

Plus then you can turn around and sell them when you're done!
