Start-up welcome chime
Okay, kind of a silly mod idea but I am curious how this would be accomplished. It came to me when a friend started his Mazda 3 yesterday and it did a little welcome chime.
I thought, what if my FR-S greeted me with the PS1 boot-up sound? As a youngster I was hooked on Gran Turismo on PS1 and it would be great to hear that sound when I start my baby. Nice way to get in the mood ![]() Start-up welcome chime mp3. Thoughts?

get one of these
http://www.radioshack.com/9v-recordi...l#.VIUTqDHF-uY load your sound, wire up the output to your speakers, the power to ignition 12v (maybe with a voltage regulator) and the button input to a relay, so it only triggers once. This would probably work better upstream of an amp, but I don't know if these cars have separate amps or not. You could just wire one of those to this module as well if they don't. |
