Aftermarket catted front pipe with stock catback

I recently got a 2015 brz and would like to extract a little more sound from the engine. I liked the looks of the 2015 catback, but I can't find an example on forum of someone that replaced only the front pipe and leave rest stock. Other forums says the stock catback with catted front pipe will give a raspy sound. Does anyone have a definate answer as how it'll sound? Thanks.

It'll give you your stock sound more depth and a bit more bass but not much. Headers will give you rasp but I don't think with a catted front pipe you will get rasp, maybe on a catless unresonated pipe. If anything go over to rally sport direct and read the reviews on catted pipes. Everyone mentions great sound, no rasp or drone.
