What's the point of a catted aftermarket header?

From what I understand the point of going aftermarket is that the header has no cats, allowing it to run hotter and move more exhaust. I know that stage 2 tunes are not supposed to be ran unless you have an aftermarket header, can they also be ran on these catted headers?

The point of catted aftermarket headers is to quiet down the overall exhaust set ups. Gains with the catted headers won't be as dramatic as with catless headers--assuming the headers are engineered properly.

Aftermarket catted headers use high flow cats(less restrictive) and still allow for better designs than OEM.
