What's the point of a catted aftermarket header?

From what I understand the point of going aftermarket is that the header has no cats, allowing it to run hotter and move more exhaust. I know that stage 2 tunes are not supposed to be ran unless you have an aftermarket header, can they also be ran on these catted headers? :iono:

The point of catted aftermarket headers is to quiet down the overall exhaust set ups. Gains with the catted headers won't be as dramatic as with catless headers--assuming the headers are engineered properly.

They're to stay "legal"

Aftermarket catted headers use high flow cats(less restrictive) and still allow for better designs than OEM.
