Demon eyes question

I will be retrofitting a set of demon eyes in my frs headlights but have concerns about the heat build up inside the projector and bulb life. I have read that LEDs will burn out quickly due to the increased heat. I have seen YouTube videos where people use ccfl rings inside their projectors. Would one of those hold up to the heat better? What size ring would fit inside the projector?

Thanks for the reply and I will read up over there.

Just to clarify, I'm looking at placing these rings/lights INSIDE my projector to make the lens glow, I'm not going for the ring outside of the projector angel eyes.

The demon eyes won't be on when the headlights are on, so it's not really an issue. Placement should be in front of the shield anyway so they're protected a bit.

DDM is garbage and always has been... Always makes me laugh when people put $50 HIDs on their $50K cars/trucks. Good halogen setups are that much ffs...

do you use leds? if so, what kind of bulb?

I hope i'm not over thinking this project, I just really dont want to have to take off my bumper and bake open my headlights every time a bulb burns out.

Yes I got a pair of 168 sockets and led bulbs from autozone. You can also use 194 bulbs and sockets they r interchangeable. The only thing I'd suggest is to get better quality bulbs than autozone( maybe diode dynamics) and also make sure ur supplying the leds with the correct amount of voltage. I powered mine with just the battery and I am expect them to burn out. Given its only a 2 voltage increase I maybe take awhile but it will still be faster than normal.

If u have any other questions let me know.

Its not so much a hard thing to do but its just a pain in the ass
