Skunk2 Lowering Springs NOW AVAILABLE!
![]() Corner faster, stop quicker, and improve the look of your vehicle with Skunk2's legendary Lowering Springs.Skunk2 Lowering Springs for the 2013+ BRZ/FRS are designed to dramatically improve handling performance and driver feel through significantly increased cornering grip and reduced body roll. What’s more, Skunk2 Lowering Springs also help counteract squatting under acceleration as well as nose-diving while braking. All Skunk2 Lowering Springs are CNC-wound using the highest quality SAE 9254V spring steel, shot-peen stress relieved, and corrosion-protected thanks to powdercoating and specialized phosphate treating processes. The results are a lower center of gravity and race car-like handling, yet smooth, comfortable ride characteristics—the perfect balance between performance and comfort. Skunk2 Lowering Springs are compatible with OEM or aftermarket shock absorbers and look great on vehicles with stock or aftermarket wheels. ![]() ![]() ![]() Part Number: 519-12-1001 MSRP: $262.49 http://store.skunk2.com/suspension-t...g-springs.html → Pictures of shop BRZ w/ Springs Installed ← ![]() ![]() ![]()

@KraftWerks
Thanks for the post. From the site it says these drop (Front / Rear): 1.5” / 1.5”. Which would make them some of the lowest springs available. Do you have the spring rates, and also, do they come with replacement bump stops or do you recommend trimming the OEM bump stops and if so, how much? Thanks |

Rates should be right about 3.5K / 5k respectively. On our BRZ, we installed on OE shocks with OE bump stops, no issues. We've had varying weights of drivings in the vehicle with no hint of bottoming out, riding the stops, etc. If anything, you can trim the OE stop no more than .5" or so just to be safe but unless you're completely loaded down like you're taking the vehicle camping, you shouldn't need to trim at all. I suppose this MAY also come into play but if you have absolutely horrid roads, the trimming may be considered as the vehicle is going to operate differently compared to on a completely smooth surface or close to it. |

So are Lca's needed when you go for these springs or do they not change handling in a negative way on their own?

Are items like that recommended when lowering the vehicle or changing the geometry of the vehicle in any way, certainly. |

I may snag these during the current Black Friday sales. The drop is lower than I'd like but i don't mind it.
@KraftWerks do you have any pics of the shop BRZ with these installed? |

I'm very anxious for the pictures too, I've been back and forth between between dropping the car or not.
Edit: if you're looking for any other testers, I'd be happy to give them a go as well Sent from my Nexus 5 using NASIOC mobile app
