Takeda aFe intake cause CEL? Code: P0171.

The CEL on mu car on today so I took it to toyota dealer.

They check the code and told me that this is because of my Takeda cold air intake, and give me a code P0171. They said it is because the engine get too much air.

I have never hear about that before. An aftermarket intake cause CEL? I did not tune it cuz I think it not a must. And I did reset the ECU by disconnecting battery.

Can anyone give a suggestion?

Thank you.

Too much air, car going too lean. Had the same problem on my KN Typhoon. OFT stage 1 reflash with modified MAF (Some manufactures will provide this, if not you'll have to data log and do it on your own) will solve this.
